Birchwood’s 2016 new eats in Camden and Midcoast

What’s new in eating local in 2016 for Camden and the Midcoast Maine area? The big buzz in Camden is about Scott Yakovenko’s (Slipway in Thomaston) new offering, Rhumb Line. Rhumb Line is living up to its buzz, standing out of the crowd not just for fresh boat to table seafood and a great local Maine draught beer list but for its spectacular unique location on the opposite side of the harbor at Lyman-Morse at Wayfarer Marine.  This is the place to be on a beautiful night, watching the sunset over harbor park and our gorgeous public library.

Another enticement to the area is Nina June with Mediterranean cuisine by Sara Jenkins, an established Italian chef from Manhattan. Nina June will be opening in early June, occupying Union Hall’s store front space vacated last year by Salt Water Farm.
